Choose one of the following activities as a way to further reflect on the Sunday readings:

• Celebrate your own “holy family.” Plan a family outing and spend the time enjoying one another’s company.
• Take time to visit elderly or distant relatives. Talk about how you take care of each other in your family. Tell stories about the family that will strengthen your understanding and appreciation of each other.
• Prepare a meal or a dessert and have the family take it to a Catholic Worker House or battered women’s shelter. Explain the need for all of us to show compassion and love to families in need.
• Spend time together writing Christmas thank-you notes. End with a prayer of thanksgiving for your family.
