Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Choose one of the following activities as a way to further reflect on the Sunday readings:

To focus on Jesus’ identity, spend an evening or a Saturday helping the members of your family put on a play or put together a puppet show about Jesus. Later, invite relatives or friends to watch the show.
Choose your family’s favorite stories about Jesus and read them to the children as bedtime stories.
Who is Jesus for you? Talk with family members about what each person believes about Jesus and what it means to follow him.
Gather together and ask each family member to think of one name or title for Jesus. Write the names and titles on a sheet of paper. Discuss what signs in your home indicate that Jesus is the center of your household.
