Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Choose one of the following activities as a way to further reflect on the Sunday readings:

In the miracle of the feeding of the multitude, God shows us how to feed a hungry world. How do you share with others what you have?
To help your family provide for the needs of others, place a “love offering” jar in your home. When anyone has a few pennies, they could put them in the jar. When the jar is full, the money could be given to the local Catholic Relief Services to help feed hungry people.
Take a special dish or a meal this week to a family that is dealing with a loss or an illness.
In place of grace, pray together the Lord’s Prayer and pause for a moment after the words, “Give us this day, our daily bread.” Give thanks for the gift of food and for the gift of the Eucharist.
