Forming Catholic identity across generationsFor a large part of the liturgical year, we devote ourselves to listening to the mystery of Christ in all its aspects unfolded as we seek God's truth and understanding.
Polycarp, Bishop and Martyr
What would it be like, do you suppose, to sit at the feet of the Apostles and hear their stories of life with Jesus? Or what would it be like to have known those who actually walked with Jesus, saw him, and touched him? That was what Polycarp was able to do as a disciple of Saint John the Evangelist. He became a bishop and a model of faith for many. In the end, he was tortured and put to death for his faith, yet he remained firm and faithful.
