Easter

The sound of Alleluias fills the 50 days of Easter Sunday to Pentecost as we give thanks for the gift of our salvation. The Easter Triduum recalls the passion and resurrection of Christ in the sacred journey from Holy Thursday to Easter Vigil. "Dying he destroyed our death. Rising he restored our life."

Activity of the Week

Seventh Sunday of Easter

Choose one of the following activities as a way to further reflect on the Sunday readings:

  • As a member of society and a child of God, how do you balance the two? With your family, determine how you keep God present in your life while you go about your worldly responsibilities. School, work, parish work, recreational activities are ongoing. How do you keep the light of God shining in your life while all about you is questionable? How do you keep from being contaminated? Discuss with your family.
  • Go on a prayer retreat, either in your home or at a specific location. Discover how when given an open heart, the Holy Spirit arrives. Sometimes it just takes focus to be aware of what has been there all along. Persevere, as they did in the Upper Room. Find direction and answers to your questions.
