Choose one of the following activities as a way to further reflect on the Sunday readings:

• Jesus welcomes the poor and marginalized. We are challenged to see people through Jesus’ eyes. Spend time as a family this week researching another culture, race or ethnic group. Share stories of the wonderful traditions of people from around the world.
• Talk about people in your community who are treated unfairly. What can your family do to show compassion for those who are marginalized?
• Have a family discussion about all the people who are involved in providing food for your family. Talk about the farmer who grows the wheat and corn, the baker who makes the bread, the factory workers, the truck drivers, and the people who check you out at the grocery store. Write a note of gratitude to someone you know in the food service industry.
• Research agencies that serve new immigrants to your community. Get involved as a family and put Christ’s love into action.
