Choose one of the following activities as a way to further reflect on the Sunday readings:

• Take time to evaluate your Lenten observance and to plan for the celebration of the Triduum. Have family members reflect on what they need to let go of in order to fully rise with Christ.
• To make this Holy Week special, turn off the television set for the entire week. You may want to put a crucifix or a picture of Jesus on your table. Put a palm branch with it. Have a family discussion about what each person can do to grow closer to Jesus this week.
• A common sign of new life at Easter time is the Easter egg. Sit down with your family and decorate hard boiled eggs with spring colors as a way of preparing for Easter together. Egg coloring kits are available in most grocery stores. While decorating the eggs, have each family member discuss how Jesus is calling him or her to new life.
• Make crosses from the palm branches and put them in a prominent place in your home. Ask each family member to reflect quietly on the following: Is there something that I need to give up in order to be closer to Jesus? After a few moments, join hands and pray the Lord’s Prayer together.
